Sale List Summary
(updated November 2007)
For the past 10 years I have mailed to puzzle collectors and enthusiasts around the world a sale list of over 120 puzzles, nearly all restored by me. Typical lists included approximately 25 Pastimes and a Par. I recently completed my Fall 2007 sale with all 125 puzzles sold to 71 different bidders and 114 of the puzzles going by bids over my list price. You may view pictures of the Fall 2007 sale puzzles. You may also view the sale list for these puzzles (now all sold) (PDF File or Excel File) and accompanying instructions, which illustrate how my sales are run.
If you would like to receive a copy of my sale lists in the future, please email me at (raahna@oldpuzzles.com) your mailing address so that I may send you a copy next Fall. If you sent me your address some time ago but have not responded to my earlier mailings, please email me again. I assume you are not interested if there is no response to two mailings. If simply sending you via email an announcement of my next sale with the list and instructions posted on my website will suffice, please so indicate in your email. Most buyers, however, prefer to receive a copy of the sale list because of its length and complexity.
Please note: I do not send out the sale list by email because there are still puzzle people who do not have access to or are not comfortable with the computer and Internet and who can only be reached through the mail. While I do list for sale from time to time a puzzle on eBay (my name is "oldpuzzles"), my principal way of selling our extra puzzles is by the old fashioned mail sale, now supplemented by my website posting.
With a few exceptions, all puzzles needing work have been restored by me. This includes making replacement pieces which, depending upon their location, usually meet the test of "you really have to hunt to find it". I also repair all broken/split/missing knobs which I can find, and any missing/damaged paper and wood, so that the completed puzzle "looks really good". These repairs actually take longer than replacing missing pieces for most puzzles and probably account for why the puzzles are in such demand. If you purchase a puzzle and are not satisfied, contact me and we will work it out (including return of your money if necessary). Wherever possible, I also repair and rebuild boxes using archival materials and techniques so that they can safely store the puzzles but still show their age.
