The Harmony Four

Catalog Code:
1- 1499
Description:

The humor of so many 1909 era puzzles never ceases to amaze us! The unknown maker of this puzzle also cleverly cut away most of the background around the edges leaving an enhanced and well balanced scene. What the maker did not do was to cut away the background around the legs of our "Harmony Four," a "dropout" technique first employed in the 1930s by Par Company and a few others. Note the scene itself is also balanced with two happy and two disgruntled singers and the taller "harmonizers" in the middle. Plywood, non-interlocking, cut along color lines.  Artist: Ward
