Description: 

Peacock was a prolific maker of map puzzles last half of 19th. century and dissected a number of Gall & Inglis maps after 1870 like this one.  Gall & Inglis used a 25 Paternoster Square, London address (address on map side) after 1875. See Hannas, "The English Jigsaw Puzzle 1760 to 1890, pp. 146, 150.  Map side of 3 replacements left blank (need copy from duplicate map).  Solid wood, interlocking edge, color line cut from map side.
