Pastime puzzle cut by #99, Parker Brothers, Salem, MA in 1933. Plywood, interlocking, cut partially along color lines with 8 figure pieces. Unknown artist. A romanticized view of war? I remember my father's return from WW II and he was very quiet and withdrawn and suffered terrible nightmares for many months after. And he told me when he returned from WW I (I was born 17 years later), he "drifted between jobs" and had trouble "finding himself". By the time he told me this, he could look back at his WW I return with amusement; not so his WW II return.
