Description:
This gorgeous puzzle was a promotional print distributed by the makers of Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey (a very fine bourbon may I say) which my wife’s brother-in-law, Walter Newcomb found for us. Artist is Ken Davies (1965). Round knob cut from plywood by Roland Chesley in 1970 but with color line cutting which we had introduced to him. Note that the color line cutting has interval knobs along the color lines to enhance interlock. While we love pure color line cutting, we had small children then (ages 6, 4, 2) and making a puzzle truly interlocking was important. It is a wonderful puzzle to work, with the yellow grass challenging enough for adults.
