Classic coaching scene by Cecil Aldin.  Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin (1870 – 1935), was a British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural life. Aldin executed village scenes and rural buildings in chalk, pencil and also wash sketching. He was an enthusiastic sportsman and a Master of Fox Hounds, and many of his pictures illustrated hunting.  Wikipedia. 
Cut by Miss Emily L. Batterson, Hartford, CT.  Semi-interlocking with 1 figure piece (unusual for her).  
Picture has aged over the years, but 18th./19th. century England, especially in the North, would be dark and gloomy in late December.  Price reduced.
