He Fought the Good Fight-He Finished the Course

Catalog Code:
5- 5223
Description:

Colorful, very large U-Nit puzzle made by James Browning, W. Caldwell, NJ 1950/60's, interlocking with 100 figure pieces.  Title is a biblical reference (2 Timothy 4:6-22) to Paul's final words to Timothy and to the church, just before his execution in Rome about 65 AD.  The puzzle image (by unknown artist) probably shows George Washington who  led the Continental Army to victory in the American Revolutionary War against the the British.  He is generally considered to be one of the first Americans  to have "fought the good fight", in a long list of Americans who served in our wars, including my father (two world wars) and his brothers and the fathers and brothers of many of my friends growing up.
