Putting Their Best Foot Forward

Catalog Code:

Description:

This stunning puzzle follows the tradition of so many 1909 era puzzles with extensive color line cutting and great image, but the unknown maker has added irregular edges by cutting away the corners (creating a hexagon shape) and limited interlock resulting from "turning" the wood more during cutting. The straight line cut through the lower third of the puzzle was common back then as a way of dividing a puzzle into smaller sections for easier handling during cutting and also a way of "disguising" the crease mark in folded pictures often used in that era. Artist is also unknown.
Our 3 dancing ladies are not exactly "youthful"!
