Wild Bear Puzzles

Almost from the start of our collecting, we focused on "wild bear puzzles", i.e., puzzles depicting bears in natural settings, probably because of their color and action which seemed to intrigue our 3 sons. Little did we know that there are an awful lot of them out there! One artist, Philip R. Goodwin, seems to have focused much of his art depicting 2 men out in the wilds canoeing, camping, hiking, lumbering, hunting, unexpectedly encountering a bear, sometimes with her cubs. What happens after that is up to the viewer's imagination. I have added my thoughts in many of the descriptions. With so many similar scenes we don't really try to buy any more today, although there is always room for one more if the scene is "different".
