The First Automobile

Not literally “the first automobile” but probably the first automobile these folks have seen! While the picture is a humorous depiction, the first time such a strange looking and sounding vehicle entered an otherwise quiet village must have caused quite a commotion! Unknown maker, 1909 c, solid wood, non-interlocking, cut extensively along color lines, artist: V. Spahn.  A/k/a "Smashup on the Farm".
