Adorable scene by Jean Paul Selinger (1901). Pastime puzzle cut by #105 Parker Brothers, Salem, MA circa 1908. Solid wood, semi-interlocking. A very early Pastime puzzle before Parker Brothers introduced plywood, knobs, color line cutting and figure pieces into their puzzles starting in 1909. Jean Paul Selinger (1850 - 1909) was active/lived in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He is known for Landscape, portrait and still life painting. The puzzle scene was used in a Birthday Greeting 1908 Postcard with "Birthday Greeting" imprinted across the front.
