Description:

McCann Code SM02.  Die cut, non-interlocking puzzle produced by Tuco Workshops, Lockport, NY in 1930's.  Artist unknown. Tuco was a prolific maker of diecut cardboard puzzles in Lockport, NY 1932-1984. They used stronger dies which allowed them to cut thicker cardboard (called Epsom board) but only in a crooked line strip pattern. This gave their puzzles a special feel of solidity, much like wood, and a distinct competitive advantage. Later, the company thinned the cardboard and cut knobs becoming just like the other makers of diecut cardboard puzzles.  And leading to their demise.
No repairs needed.
