Sam and the Pretty Housemaid

Sam who in Pickwick Papers becomes Mr. Pickwick's valet certainly enjoyed being a bachelor and in Ch. 25, he meets and makes "a pass" at Mary, the pretty house maid whom he marries in the end.  Pastime puzzle cut c.1915 by #23.  Plywood, semi-interlocking, cut along color lines but without any figure pieces.  Pastime sale lists suggest puzzle was cut @ 1915 but absence of figure pieces suggests earlier date.  Artist is Cecil Aldin.
