Two Scotty dogs (I think) are chasing the scent of a (rabbit? squirrel? mole?). Hopefully, not a skunk or porcupine with their defense mechanisms. "Little Cut-Up" puzzle made by H.E. Hamlen in the 1930s, interlocking with random (different styles) knobs. Artist is the well known, Cecil Aldin (1870-1935). Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin, was a British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural life.
