Two Stars

Catalog Code:
P- 1281
Description:

Pastime cut by #73R with 24 figure pieces and color line cutting.  Two stars meant 2 family members serving in WW I.  For the Armstrong's, it was my father, Ralph, and his next youngest brother, Kenneth.  As their mother (my grandmother) had died a decade earlier and their father (my grandfather) had remarried, I doubt if they had flown a "Two Star Flag".  However, their names are carved on the monument in Franklin, CT to those who served in WW I from that small town in Eastern Connecticut.  Artist is R.M. Brett who is the artist on another WW I puzzle displayed in this section.
