Springbok Editions puzzle published in 1972 after Springfield was acquired by Hallmark.  Interlocking with round knobs.  Artist is Grant Wood.  Box includes explanation of picture by Nancy Groves, Art Institute of Chicago.  The severe look of this couple is "daunting".  Grant DeVolson Wood (1891-1942) was an American painter and representative of Regionalism, best known for his paintings depicting the rural American Midwest.
