Call to Arms

Mary Roberts, Holbrook, MA cut this Arteno puzzle mid-1930's. While carrying Arteno series name on the box, its style differs from the normal Arteno style in that it has more knobs, fewer long thin arms, and no color line cutting. Roberts also used a black box with Arteno style label but which can only hold puzzle disassembled.. Puzzle was cut by “V”.  Artist is S. Gordon Smyth. Frankly, the puzzle is not as enjoyable to assemble as a true Arteno.
