Melton Breakfast

The Melton Breakfast depicts eleven distinguished British Gentlemen having their breakfast after the hunt in the home of Lord Alvanley Melton Mowbray. The men are identified by name at the bottom of the engraving. The artist is Sir Francis Grant (1803 – 1878), a Scottish portrait painter, who painted Queen Victoria and many distinguished British aristocratic and political figures of the day.
