The Old Army Chest

Catalog Code:
1- 1698
Description:

A poignant story as the Civil War Vet (probably Union as flag doesn't look Confederate) goes through his chest of Civil War memorabilia with his lovely granddaughter.  He has to give them away as his life nears its end.  Hopefully his descendants will treasure them, unlike descendants today who don't seem to want "the stuff"!  Non-interlocking, color line cut in 1910s.  Artist is George L. Sensenay, but I could uncover little about him.. Picture is from the Supplement published by the Boston Globe "once upon a time".  Print maker is American Colortype Co. in 1902
