Cut in 1928 by cutter #37, Parker Brothers, Salem, MA; Pastime puzzle; plywood; interlocking; 41 figure pieces; color line cut; artist: Luigi Morgazi. Scene is from end of Act III and depicts a heartbroken Rigeletto swearing vengeance against the Duke of Mantua (off stage) for seducing his daughter, Gilda who is trying to stop him because she loves the Duke. Monterone (whose daughter has previously been seduced by the Duke) is led off in chains. A truly dramatic moment in the opera which Morgazi has shrewdly captured in painting this scene. Opera is by Giuseppi Verdi.
