Premier series puzzle made by Milton Bradley Co., Springfield, MA 1930's.  Plywood, interlocking, cut along color lines with 11 figure pieces.  Premier was M-B's top series to compete with Parker Brothers' Pastime puzzles.  Artist is Albert Herter, an American painter, illustrator, muralist, and interior designer. He painted covers for the Ladies' Home Journal (including this picture) and other magazines, and illustrated a number of books. He created several World War I posters. His son, Christian became a politician, serving as governor of Massachusetts and later U.S. Secretary of State under Dwight D. Eisenhower.
